Diversified Ulbrich of Canada Achieves AS 9120 B Certification

Diversified Ulbrich of Canada has recently been awarded the AS 9120 B certification. This accreditation is in addition to ISO 9001:2015, which we have been accredited with for over two decades. AS 9120 B, however, is especially focused on the aerospace industry. Perfectly summed up on the certification, “Sales and Distribution of metallic high-quality alloys and non-metallic materials for the aerospace and non-aerospace industries.” This is the scope of our business at Diversified Ulbrich of Canada.

Efforts towards this achievement moved quickly, with planning starting in May of 2021. Upon deciding to apply for this certification, we immediately began by incorporating the aerospace abilities necessary for this accreditation. The official audit took place in October 2021 and we passed registration with flying colors.

Being AS 9120 B certified means we have the opportunity to participate in the high-profile aerospace industry in a new way, while opening a world of innovative markets within that space. Now more than ever, we have the ability to delve into new materials for aerospace applications such as plastics and titanium. Simply having the certification is not enough, you must also be recognized as a qualified vendor. This certification affects all the commodities we currently offer, including our aluminum available in many varieties of alloys and tempers, as well as several different grades and finishes of stainless steel and specialty metals.

With this certification, we can delve into the aerospace field head-on and do so with confidence knowing that our processes are to the highest standard.
